This is the long-unavailable button which locks/releases the topmost seatbelt plate to the rear fastening point. NOS supplies for this part have long ago been exhausted, and the fragile buttons continue to break in the field.

Don't sacrifice safety for lack of this part! If yours are broken, replace them.
